  6. MiniHelp Plus v3.21 is a Windows Help Authoring utility that
  7. creates a Windows Help file from a specially formatted ASCII
  8. text file containing simple, easy-to-learn commands.

  10. MiniHelp Plus v3.21 allows users to "tie together" a lot of the
  11. tools they already have and are comfortable with to create
  12. Windows Help files. With MiniHelp Plus v3.21, a user can
  13. launch their favorite ASCII text editor, with or without their
  14. current Help file project already loaded in. User's can view/edit
  15. the RTF, HPJ and context-sensitive Help Header files at the
  16. click of a mouse button. Also, users can view/edit the graphics
  17. in their Help file project in one of the graphic file formats
  18. supported by Windows Help (bitmaps, hot spot graphics, or
  19. Windows metafiles) at the click of a mouse button.

  21. MiniHelp Plus v3.21 is fully configurable, allowing the user
  22. to specify the ASCII text editor, graphics editor, hot spot
  23. editor, and version of the Help Compiler he/she wants to use,
  24. as well as select several options for the performance of
  25. MiniHelp Plus v3.21.

  27. MiniHelp Plus v3.21 is SHAREWARE. The registration fee
  28. is $30, and users who register will receive a free utility disk
  29. detailing usage of the DOCUMENTED and UNDOCUMENTED
  30. Help macros, the Microsoft Help Writer's Authoring Guide,
  31. a MiniHelp Plus Hints & Tips Help file, the MiniHelp Plus
  32. Reference Library that ties these all together and also includes
  33. two special Help utilities that allow users to "dissect and peek
  34. under the hood" of Help files to see what makes them tick,
  35. three DLLs to extend the functionality of Windows Help, a
  36. collection of bitmapped images to use in their Help file creations,
  37. the Microsoft Hot Spot Editor, and access to supplemental
  38. MiniHelp Plus files on the MiniHelp Plus support BBS,
  39. HOUSE OF CARDS (913-592-4163).

  42. Part 2: Distribution
  43. ========================================================

  45. MiniHelp Plus v3.21 may be distributed freely so long as the original
  46. ZIP file, MHPLUS32.ZIP is distributed intact and unaltered. Permission
  47. must be received to distribute MiniHelp Plus v3.21 on retail racks,
  48. on CD Roms, or bundled with any other product.

  52. Disk Vendors, Shareware Distributors and BBS(s) may charge a nominal
  53. fee for distribution of the program. The recipient of MiniHelp Plus v3.21
  54. must be informed, in advance, that the fee paid to acquire MiniHelp Plus
  55. v3.21 does not relieve the recipient from an obligation to pay the
  56. registration fee of $30 if the recipient continues to use MiniHelp Plus v3.21.
  57. That nominal fee may not exceed $5.00 per disk (if included as part of a
  58. "shareware bundle disk") or the cost of disk duplication, whichever is less.
  59. Exceptions to the fee restriction may be obtained by contacting the author
  60. of the program directly.
